He Makana Aloha
Hawaiian Performing Arts Competition

Join Moloka'i and the rest of Hawaii as we celebrate the 2nd Annual Hawaiian Performing Arts Competition to be held at the Maunaloa Outdoor Amphitheater on Molokai's west end.

Performers from across the State will engage in six (6) individual competitions, including Auana (Modern Hula), Kahiko (Ancient Hula), Falsetto, Kihoalu (Slack Key), Ukulele, and Oli (Hawaiian Chanting).

He Makana is about sharing our talents and giving back the true gift of Aloha through music, pride and love for the Hawaiian Culture.

Each team's final performance, the "Hui Paina" will be done by the entire team and it will encompass all the performing arts into one number.

The competition is open to anyone 18 years of age or older.
